Mpumalanga Treasury hosts workshop on Invoice Management System as part of Youth Month commemoration , 25 Jun

As part of commemorating Youth month, the Mpumalanga Provincial Treasury will embark on a series of public procurement workshops targeting youth enterprises.

The first workshop will be held in Emalahleni on Friday, 25 June 2021.

The department will unpack procurement systems and opportunities in the public sector, focusing on the new digital Invoice Tracking System.

The workshop aims to raise awareness to the youth on how they can access financial systems and information that will enable them to do business with the government in the province.

“The digitalisation of the invoice process will further improve government to business interface; ensure transparency in the payments value chain, and assist in detecting non-compliance with legislative requirements for payment of service providers within 30 days of receipts of the invoice,” said MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Mr Vusi Mkhatshwa.

A limited number of participants will be allowed in the venue to conform to COVID19 regulations.

The workshop will be streamed on departmental social media accounts, and a link for remote participation in the workshop will be shared with all interested suppliers.
