Kenya : 352% increase in the value of mobile transactions

From March 2020 to June 2023, the volume and value of mobile bill payments in Kenya grew by 301% and 352%, respectively. One development is partly due to the increase in the daily cap on mobile money transactions from 70,000 to 150,000 Kenyan shillings and the size of the mobile money wallet from 150,000 to 300,000 Kenyan shillings.
