According to The Namibia Press Agency, President Geingob was a people’s person who prioritized inclusivity and the well-being of Namibians, embodying the qualities of a visionary leader. Geingob’s efforts in the struggle for economic achievement and his significant role in the liberation movement were highlighted as key aspects of his legacy. The governor recounted Geingob’s contributions to SWAPO and his pivotal role in leading Namibia towards independence, including his involvement in drafting the country’s highly regarded constitution. Geingob’s passing is mourned as a loss of a leader who was deeply committed to the nation’s development and unity.
