Tragic Discoveries and Violent Incident Reported in Namibia


Windhoek – In a series of somber events, the Namibian Police Force reported the discovery of a seven-month-old baby girl’s lifeless body in a dustbin at the Hakahana open market in Katutura on Saturday. According to the weekend crime report issued by the police on Monday, a passerby searching for food in the dustbin found the body at approximately 16h59. The passerby subsequently informed another member of the public, who then alerted the police.



According to Namibia Press Agency (NAMPA), In a separate but equally tragic incident in Swakopmund, the lifeless body of 32-year-old Ndakondja Lukas was found with stab wounds by a passerby in the DRC location of the Erongo region. It is alleged that cries for help were heard in the area between 23h00 and 00h00, as well as at 02h00, before going silent. As of the report, no arrests have been made in connection with Lukas’s death, and the next of kin have been notified.



Additionally, a violent incident occurred near Sundowner Bar at Uis in the Erongo region. A 38-year-old Namibian male was reportedly stabbed six times with an unknown object by an unidentified suspect. The attack, which took place around 01h30, resulted in the victim sustaining deep open wounds on his back, head, face, and arms. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, where his condition is reported as serious but stable.



The Namibian Police Force stated that investigations into all these matters are ongoing, indicating a continued effort to uncover the circumstances and perpetrators behind these incidents.
