Burkina/Peace effort: More than 126 million FCFA collected in June

The Donation Reception and Management Commission received, as part of the peace effort, 126 million 253 thousand 4 FCFA in June as well as 20 motorcycles and nearly 70 tons of food , the AIB learned on Thursday.

As a reminder, the Donation Reception and Management Commission was created on October 27, 2022 with the main mission of ensuring the reception and efficient allocation of the various donations in kind and in cash, as part of the appeal contribution to the peace effort, launched on October 18, 2022 by President Ibrahim Traoré.

As of June 26, 2023, 1 billion 53 million 822 thousand 27 FCFA has been mobilized, of which 308 million 102 thousand 190 FCFA have been spent and a balance of 745 million 719 thousand 837 FCFA.

We also recorded during this period, donations of 1,716 motorcycles, 10 pickups, more than 600 tons of rice, nearly 155 tons of corn and many others.

In addition to the Donation Reception and Management Commission, the government created on January 11, 2023, the Patriotic Support Fund (FSP).

As of June 2, 2023, the FSP has collected 20 billion 752 million 574 thousand 695 FCFA.
