Nahouri Receives New Ambulance Tires from Local Traders

NAHOURI — On May 6, 2024, the commune of Zecco in Nahouri celebrated the reception of two new ambulance tires, a crucial update that restores the vehicle’s operational capacity. The tires, valued at 300,000 CFA francs, were donated by the Zecco traders’ association to address a pressing healthcare transportation issue.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the President of the special delegation (PDS) of Zecco, the ambulance had been out of service since February 2024. The degraded condition of its tires had previously halted patient evacuations to the Medical Center with a surgical branch (CMA) in Pô. This had forced the residents to rely on ambulances from neighboring municipalities, often stretching resources thin.

The initiative by the Zecco traders’ association aimed to alleviate these difficulties. “They who were obliged to use ambulances from neighboring municipalities and often that of the CMA of Pô,” Sanglan noted, expressing his gratitude toward the association for their significant contribution.

Sanglan also called on other community organizations to take inspiration from the traders and contribute to local welfare initiatives, underscoring the impact of collective community action on public health services.
