Titao Residents Rally for Continued Political Transition

TITAO, Burkina Faso — On Saturday, May 11, 2024, hundreds of demonstrators gathered at Place de la Nation in Titao, Loroum, advocating for the extension of the national political transition period. The rally highlighted local support for continued leadership by Captain Ibrahim Traoré in national efforts.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the rally was prompted by the coordination of the patriotic watch. Demonstrators expressed the need for more time for Traoré to advance his mission of reclaiming national territories. They also praised the recent establishment of the Titao Rapid Intervention Brigade (BIR), expressing high expectations for its role in securing and liberating key areas, including the strategic RN23 highway.
