Ethiopia Protests EU Visa Restrictions, Calls Them Unfair

ADDIS ABABA — The Ethiopian Foreign Affairs Ministry has criticized new visa restrictions imposed by the European Union, labeling them as unfair.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, In a press briefing, the ministry’s spokesperson outlined the recent EU decision, which extends the visa processing time for Ethiopians from 15 to 45 days. The spokesperson argued that the restrictions unfairly target Ethiopian citizens and could hinder bilateral relations. Ethiopia has urged the EU to reconsider the decision, emphasizing its willingness to engage in discussions based on international principles to resolve the issue.
