Illegal Bhang Operation Discovered in Ongata Rongai Church

Ongata Rongai – In a shocking turn of events, police officers confiscated 26 bags of bhang from a church on Tuesday, acting on crucial information provided by members of the local community.

According to Kenya News Agency, the discovery was made when enraged residents followed a trail of stolen sheep to the church premises. Upon their arrival, they found suspects in the process of slaughtering the animals. A confrontation ensued between the residents and a group of congregants, with the former gaining the upper hand before police intervention. “The police arrived just in time to rescue the congregants,” Taari explained.

Upon their arrival, the police conducted a thorough search of the premises, uncovering bhang with a street value running into millions of shillings. In addition, several electronic gadgets, suspected to be stolen property, were found within the church. Taari expressed his suspicion that the congregants might be users of bhang, citing the slaughtering of the sheep as a potential celebratory act for their illicit activities. “We are considering arresting all of them for a proper investigation,” he added.

Taari extended his gratitude to the public for their pivotal role in exposing the illegal operation, assuring them that the seized items would be taken to the police station pending a court’s decision on the next course of action. He also issued a stern warning to other churches in the area, emphasizing the government’s commitment to tracking down and bringing all perpetrators of such activities to justice.
