We condemn the statements made by Turkish officials regarding the alleged admission of the pseudo-state with observer status to the Organization of Turkic States.
On the substance of the issue, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus has issued a relevant statement.
Any attempt to upgrade the pseudo-state constitutes a flagrant violation of International Law and Security Council Resolutions 541 and 550.
Greece’s position is firm and unwavering.
We support efforts for the achievement of a just and viable solution to the Cyprus issue, based on the relevant Resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and compatible with the European acquis, namely a bicommunal, bizonal federation.
