The Governor added that his administration has established policies that are geared towards bettering sporting activities in the region.

“We are focused on improving sports facilities, especially in our parks to enable children to nurture their sporting talents. So far, there are swimming pools, hockey, and tennis courts in the parks for our kids to start learning the games at a tender age,” stated Nyong’o.

The County Executive Committee Member in charge of Sports Ms. Beatrice Odongo thanked Nyong’o for the support he accorded to the team.

“We experienced immense support from our Governor to make this program successful. To date, people still admire the KICOSCA Kisumu edition,” she stated.

Out of the over 8,000 KICOSCA participants from across the country, Kisumu had 281 staff take part in the various games.
