GANZOURGOU — The Sanbrado Mining Company (SOMISA) has contributed chairs and tricycles to various local entities in Ganzourgou, including customary chiefdoms and health centers, in a ceremony held on June 19, 2024, at the Sanbrado mining site.

According to Burkina Information Agency, SOMISA’s director of community relations, the donation, valued at nearly 9 million FCFA, aims to bolster the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts. The equipment distributed includes 100 VIP chairs to the chiefdoms of Boudry and Nédogo, 100 plastic chairs to other chiefdoms, and 4 tricycles to local health centers and a civil rights association. This initiative is funded through the Iron Mine Fund, which reinvests revenue from scrap metal sales into community projects.
