Somali Prime Minister chairs weekly Cabinet meeting

The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Hamza Abdi Barre, chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting in which the general security situation of the country and the latest achievements in the war against the Khawarij were discussed in depth.

The Ministries of Internal Security and Defense gave a report on the ongoing operations and the last areas that were liberated from the terrorists. While the Council sent condolences to the families of those who died in the attack by the Khawarij in Mogadishu on the 21st of this month.

The council praised the achievements of the war against the insurgent groups, which were defeated by the National Army and the local forces, seizing weapons and new areas from the terrorists.

Moreover, the Turkish National Committee for Earthquake Emergency has given the council information on the rescue operations of the government and the Somali people who are participating in the emergency of the Turkish brothers who have been affected by the disaster.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Salah Ahmed Jama shared with the Council the stabilization program in the liberated areas, the use of the general government system of international organizations, the debt relief program and the situation of Somali youths in prisons in Niger.
