Senior Citizen Thwarts Attempted Robbery at Café in Vuwani, Suspects on the Run

POLOKWANE – Vuwani Police are probing an attempted business robbery that unfolded on November 2, 2023, around 22:00, during which the assailants fled and abandoned a firearm at the crime scene after being disarmed by the victim.

According South Africa Police Service, The incident report states that a 71-year-old café owner was confronted by two individuals posing as customers who then attempted to rob him at gunpoint. In a striking turn of events, the café owner managed to disarm one of the suspects, prompting both to flee the scene on foot.

Upon being alerted, the police initiated a case of attempted business robbery. A search is currently underway for the suspects involved in the incident.
