Addis Ababa — Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed underscored the development potential of the West Omo zone in the South West Ethiopia region during his visit today. According to a statement on his X account, the Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction with the region’s natural beauty and potential, emphasizing the significance of proper development support and a peaceful environment in contributing to Ethiopia’s progress.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, Abiy noted the importance of patience in meeting all development needs but affirmed Ethiopia’s commitment to establishing the foundations for comprehensive development solutions. The visit included key government figures such as the Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives, Tagesse Chafo; Speaker of the House of Federation, Agegnehu Teshager; and Minister of Government Communication Service, Legesse Tullu, highlighting the government’s focus on the region’s development.
