Orodara – The Association for the Economic, Social, and Cultural Development of Orodara (ADESCO) presented a motorcycle to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) of Orodara on Monday, June 10, 2024, aiming to bolster local peace initiatives.
According to Burkina Information Agency, vice-president of ADESCO, the motorcycle donation is intended to support the ongoing peace efforts amid the security challenges facing the country. The ceremony, attended by town hall staff and beneficiaries, symbolized the community’s commitment to restoring national stability and preserving dignity. Barro highlighted the collective responsibility in addressing the crisis and the importance of community involvement in national recovery efforts.
Emmanuel Konaté, President of the special delegation of the Orodara municipality, expressed appreciation for ADESCO’s support, noting that the motorcycle will significantly enhance the operational capabilities of the VDP in their efforts to reclaim and secure the national territory. He emphasized the impact of such actions over their numerical value and encouraged others to contribute similarly to the cause.
Hamidou Traoré, representing the beneficiaries, extended thanks to ADESCO for the donation, which he said would greatly assist them in executing their field missions effectively.
