H.E. Ms. Safiya bint Intah, Minister for Social Affairs, Children and Family of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, received, on December 19, 2022 in her office at the Ministry’s Headquarters, H.E. Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakhit, OIC Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Cultural and Social Affairs, as part of the General Secretariat delegation’s participation in the regional meeting in Africa on “Microfinance: Promising Opportunities and Innovative Model”, hosted by Mauritania on December 19-20, 2022, in collaboration with the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.
The two sides discussed ways of strengthening cooperation and joint action in the areas of social development, particularly under Mauritania’s chairmanship of the next session of the OIC Foreign Ministers Council.
Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakhit reaffirmed, on this occasion, that the OIC General Secretariat stands ready to support Mauritania’s efforts in various social fields.
