Nigeria Signs $2.2 Billion Solar Photovoltaic Infrastructure Agreement with Sun Africa

Nigeria – The Nigerian Minister of Energy announced a significant $2.2 billion agreement with Sun Africa for the development of solar photovoltaic infrastructure, a major step towards achieving energy sustainability in the country.

According to Africa News Agency, this partnership involves the creation of a 961MWp solar photovoltaic power generation infrastructure and 455MWh energy storage systems. This initiative is part of the Minister’s strategic plan to transform Nigeria’s energy sector by focusing on decentralized, renewable energy distribution.
