Mtwapa Elite Primary Celebrates Stellar KCPE Results, Two Students Score Above 400

Mtwapa, Kilifi County – Jubilation filled the air at Mtwapa Elite Primary School’s Shariani branch as students, teachers, and parents celebrated the school’s impressive performance in the recently released Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results. The festivities were highlighted by two of its candidates scoring above 400 marks.

According to Kenya News Agency, Loyce Nyale, the school’s top candidate, achieved an outstanding 414 marks. She attributed her success to consistent hard work, unwavering support from her teachers and parents, and persistent prayer. Expressing her joy and gratitude, Nyale shared her ambitions to attend Alliance Girls High School for her secondary education and her aspirations to become a medical professional.

Close on her heels was Eliud Chiro, who scored an impressive 407 marks. Chiro’s academic goal is to attend Lenana School, with a long-term ambition of becoming an engineer. Both students’ high scores are significant achievements, showcasing the dedication and potential of Mtwapa Elite Primary’s students.

Despite a slight drop in the school’s overall performance compared to the previous year, teachers and parents expressed contentment with the results. This sentiment was shared in the context of a general decrease in performance across the nation. Joseph Ouma, the head teacher of Mtwapa Elite Primary, reflected on the transition from the 8-4-4 system to the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), expressing optimism for continued success under the new educational framework.

Constance Kadzenga, Loyce’s mother, emphasized the importance of parental support in education. She advocated for equal opportunities for both girls and boys in their academic pursuits, highlighting that education remains a crucial key to success in the contemporary world.
