Deputy Minister Mathale to Attend Funeral of Officer Killed in ATM Bombing

BRONKHORSTSPRUIT – Deputy Minister of Police, Mr. Cassel Mathale, and National Commissioner of SAPS, General Fannie Masemola, will lead the funeral service for the late Constable Marven Maphoro in Bronkhorstspruit.

According to South African Police Service, Constable Maphoro was fatally shot on November 16, 2023, while responding to an ATM bombing at a filling station in Tembisa, Gauteng. At the time of his death, he had served in the police force for two years.

The funeral is scheduled for Saturday, 25 November 2023, at 07:00. It will be held at P809 Phumekhaya, Nkangala, in Bronkhorstspruit. The police community and the public are invited to pay their respects to Constable Maphoro for his service and sacrifice.
