Moroccan Cyclist Mohcine Leads Strong Team in Challenging Tour du Faso.

Banfora: Moroccan cyclist El Kouradji Mohcine, currently wearing the prestigious yellow jersey in the Tour du Faso, expressed optimism about his team’s performance despite the challenging competition. Speaking on Tuesday in Banfora, Mohcine highlighted the strength of the Atlas Lions cyclists and their readiness to tackle the ongoing race.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Mohcine, a sprinter and the current yellow jersey holder, detailed his team’s strategy during the fifth stage of the race. He emphasized the difficulty of the tour but praised his team’s strength this year. Mohcine explained how he controlled the day’s race and launched his teammate, Adil Arbaoui, who is wearing the green jersey, to secure bonuses ahead of the final push towards the finish line in Banfora. Despite complications at a crucial turn before the finish line, Mohcine managed to clinch the stage victory.

s that led to significant fatigue. Mohcine and his teammates are now gearing up for the upcoming Bobo criterium, aiming to maintain their lead and protect their coveted jerseys. Mohcine stated that for Morocco, the goal is to secure the yellow jersey, while remaining vigilant against formidable competitors from Cameroon, Burkina Faso, and European teams.

He noted the aggressive tactics of Burkina Faso’s three teams, which pose challenges in the early kilometers of the race. Additionally, Mohcine acknowledged the strength of the Cameroonian team, as well as the Russian and Dutch teams. The sixth stage, scheduled for Wednesday, is a 10.7km criterium in Bobo-Dioulasso, to be completed 10 times, totaling 107km. The Tour du Faso runs from October 25 to November 3, culminating with the final stage in Ouagadougou.
