Military Court in Somalia Puts Alleged Al-Shabaab Collaborators on Trial

MOGADISHU – A trial involving eleven individuals accused of collaboration with the Al-Shabaab terrorist group was conducted by the Military Court today in Mogadishu. The group, comprising eight men and three women, was apprehended in the Hodan district under the accusation of espionage for the militant group.

According to Somali National News Agency, the group’s registrar was captured in a Mogadishu market. During the trial, lawyers representing the accused challenged the evidence presented against their clients. The Military Court is expected to deliver a verdict on the matter soon.
