Sino-Burkinabè cooperation: the Head of State discusses with the Special Representative of the Chinese government for African affairs.

The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, received in audience, Thursday, June 29, in the afternoon, a delegation from the People’s Republic of China led by the Special Representative of the Chinese government for African Affairs, Mr. Yuxi LIU.

Present in Ouagadougou for a 72-hour working visit, the delegation took this opportunity to revisit with the President of the Transition, the state of Sino-Burkinabè cooperation, whose diplomatic relations resumed on May 26, 2018.

Since then, many agreements have been signed, contributing to the realization of several projects and infrastructures. The two countries also hailed the excellent relations and agreed to deepen this cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of Burkina Faso and China.

China also reaffirmed its strong support for ongoing efforts to secure the country.

This audience was also an opportunity for China to reaffirm its support for the efforts of the Burkinabé people, actively engaged in the fight against terrorism.
