MEC Jacob Mamabolo visits Sophiatown and Westbury communities, 17 Jul

MEC Mamabolo to visit community and taxi associations leaders in Sophiatown/Westbury

Gauteng MEC for Public Transport and Roads Infrastructure Jacob Mamabolo will tomorrow, Saturday, 17 July 2021, visit Sophiatown and Westbury areas to commend communities and local taxi associations for taking a stance against acts of criminality and protecting businesses in the area from the looting that gripped parts of Gauteng.

The MEC is set to engage with Sophiatown Community Policing Forum, local taxi associations and the broader business community.

Mamabolo’s visit to the area forms part of the Provincial Government’s effort, in collaboration with communities, businesses and various other stakeholders, to restore calm and allow for commercial activities to return to normal.
