Angola at international oil exhibition

Angolan delegation from the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG) is participating in the International Oil Exhibition and Conference (AIDIPEC) in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), from 2- 5 October.

The event, organised by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), features a programme of exhibitions covering energy-related technology, innovation, collaboration and digitalisation.

ADIPEC, which is being held this year under the patronage of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, was opened by the Angolan ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Júlio Maiato.

Under the theme “Decarbonise, Fast and Together”, ADIPEC 2023 brings together more than 160,000 participants from 164 countries and brings together the global energy industries to make progress in “decarbonising today’s energy system and collaborating on tomorrow’s energy system”.

The event takes place 56 days before the United Arab Emirates hosts COP28 (from 28 November to 12
December), providing a platform to bring together energy and related industries to align on the low-carbon, high-growth future of energy.

As the UAE prepares to welcome global leaders to COP28, ADIPEC will act as an inclusive platform, framing diverse conversations from across the energy value chain, as well as driving investment in the clean energies of the future.

The ADIPEC Exhibition will allow visitors to connect with more than 2,200 global companies in 16 exhibition halls and pavilions from 30 countries, making it an ideal platform to drive business growth through its invaluable opportunities for cross-sector networking, negotiation and knowledge exchange.

This year, ADIPEC also includes four specialised areas that facilitate cross-sector collaboration and ground-breaking partnerships – Decarbonisation Accelerator, Maritime and Logistics Zone, Digitalisation in the Energy Zone, Manufacturing, Industrialisation Exhibition and Conference.

The ANPG delegation present at the event is led by the Negotiat
ions Director, Alcides Andrade, and also includes the Exploration Director, Lúmen Sebastião, the Production Director, Ana Miala, the Safety and Environment Director, Guilherme Ventura, the Strategic Planning Director, David Quingongo and the Communications Director, Neusa Cardoso, as well as the Biofuels Coordinator, Vita Mateso, and technicians from the National Concessionaire.
