Lebowakgomo Police Pursue Suspects in Daylight Business Robbery

POLOKWANE – A significant police operation is underway in Lebowakgomo following a daylight robbery that targeted a cash and carry, and a tailor in the Lebowakgomo Unit A complex on the morning of Sunday, November 5, 2023.

According South Africa Police Service, the incident occurred at approximately 08:45 when a group of suspects, armed and wearing face masks, forced their way into the business. The shop owner and employees were threatened with firearms, ordered to lie down, and directed not to make any noise during the ordeal.

The assailants proceeded to steal an undisclosed amount of money from the cash registers, along with stock from the premises. They were last seen loading the stolen goods into a silver Nissan NP200 before fleeing the scene.

Responding to the emergency call, the police arrived at the complex to commence an investigation into the business robbery. Law enforcement officials are now appealing to the public for assistance.

Detective Commander Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Baloyi, leading the investigation, urges anyone with relevant information to contact him at 082 565 8234.
