Ethiopia and Denmark Commit to Deepening Bilateral and Regional Cooperation


Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – In a move to strengthen ties, Ethiopia and Denmark have committed to enhancing their strategic bilateral relations as well as addressing regional and continental issues of mutual interest.



According to the Ethiopian News Agency, Ambassador Meles Alem, the Foreign Affairs Ministers of Ethiopia and Denmark, Taye Atske Selassie, and Lars Løkke Rasmussen, respectively, engaged in fruitful discussions today. The talks revolved around various topics, with a particular emphasis on bolstering the relationship between the two nations.



The ministers explored ways to deepen relations and diversify cooperation across all spheres, reflecting Denmark’s broader strategy towards Africa and acknowledging Ethiopia’s significant role in the region. Denmark praised Ethiopia for its efforts in promoting peace and stability in the region. Ambassador Meles highlighted the potential for Danish investments in Ethiopia, indicating a mutual agreement to expand collaboration in both political and economic spheres.
