Shenzhen: An investigation team has been established in south China’s Guangdong Province, following a ground collapse at a railway construction site in Shenzhen City that left 13 workers missing, local authorities said. The incident occurred at around 11 p.m. Wednesday at a section of the Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway in the city’s Bao’an District, prompting an immediate response from emergency services and local authorities.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the Ministry of Emergency Management reported that as of 10 a.m. Thursday, the 13 workers remain missing. The collapse has led to the evacuation of nearby residents, and temporary traffic control measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of the surrounding area.
Local rescue teams, comprising 48 vehicles and 198 personnel, have been deployed to the site to conduct rescue and emergency response operations. In addition, a work team from the ministry has been sent to assist with the efforts. The focus remains on locating the missing workers and en
suring the stability of the site as investigations continue.
