Zondoma/Promotion of social cohesion: Young people from Gourcy are mobilizing

The Municipal Youth Council (CCJ) of Gourcy organized this Tuesday, September 12, 2023 in Gourcy, a day dedicated to the promotion of peace and social cohesion.

Board games, a shopping street, a tea debate and performances by the humorous troupe “Techno Comédie” marked the day of promoting peace organized by the Municipal Youth Council (CCJ) of Gourcy.

For the president of the CCJ, Abdoul Kabirou Savadogo, this initiative aims to offer young people a framework for development and fraternity, everything which according to him will contribute to strengthening social ties and therefore to strengthening living together between young people, most of whom are internally displaced persons.

According to him, this activity was organized with the support of the Rural World Association (AMR) responsible for the implementation of the Community Project for Recovery and Stabilization in the Sahel (PCRSS) in the Northern Region .

It should be remembered that the commune of Gourcy has received many internally displaced persons due to the insecurity which has hit the Zondoma province hard.
