Jeune Afrique wants the Burkinabè authorities to lift its suspension

The newspaper Jeune Afrique wants the Burkinabè authorities to lift the suspension weighing on it, after a series of articles reporting alleged tensions within military barracks in Ouagadougou.

In a press release published Tuesday, the management and editorial staff of Jeune Afrique Media Group strongly protested against the suspension until further notice of all its media in Burkina Faso.

The media also hoped that the authorities would reconsider this position.

As a reminder, yesterday September 25, 2023, the Burkinabè government suspended Jeune Afrique, considering that it was engaging in intoxication and disinformation with the aim of sowing chaos in the country.
