Burkina Faso Army Targets Terrorists in Djibo and Pensa

Ouagadougou – In recent operations, the Burkina Faso army has successfully neutralized several terrorists in the areas of Djibo and Pensa, utilizing air vectors to secure logistical and supply convoys. The operation was part of ongoing efforts to enhance security in the region, as reported on Wednesday.

According to Burkina Information Agency, During the advance of the Djibo supply convoy, air vectors accompanying the convoy identified several groups of terrorists in the forests of Bouro. The operators strategically waited for the terrorists to gather for a meeting under a large tree before launching a missile strike, effectively eliminating the terrorists and their equipment.

In a subsequent operation that same afternoon, another group of terrorists was intercepted in the Mentao area as they prepared to harass the convoy. The terrorists, who were finalizing their plans under a hangar, were targeted and eliminated by a bomb dropped from the air, allowing the convoy to continue its journey safely.

Furthermore, on December 5, 2023, air vectors located a base in the Wambsouya forest, near Pensa. The terrorists, believing they were secure under a large tree, were targeted and killed by missile strikes.

According to sources, the military continues to conduct offensives across various sectors to restore and maintain peace in Burkina Faso.
