Indian Firm Explores Agricultural Investment Opportunities in Burkina Faso


Ouagadougou – Representatives from Swastik Trading Limited India, a company involved in agriculture, mining, and hospitality, met with Burkinabe officials to discuss potential investments in the production of fertilizers and animal feeds. This meeting, held on Tuesday, focused on exploring opportunities for local production enhancement.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the communications service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal and Fisheries Resources, Madanraj Shah Sanjay, the head of Swastik Trading, engaged with Dr. Amadou Dicko, Minister Delegate in charge of Animal Resources, to discuss investment possibilities. The ministry has offered technical support and facilities to facilitate the establishment of these production capacities. The initiative aligns with the 2023-2024 agropastoral and fisheries offensive, aimed at achieving food self-sufficiency by 2025 through substantial private investment.
