The Burkinabè newspapers of this Tuesday widely comment on the presidential election which is taking place today in Liberia, without forgetting the document relating to the reform project under the Transition submitted the day before to the Prime Minister, Me Kyelem from Tambela.

‘Project of reforms under the Transition: The Prime Minister receives the summary document’, displays on the front page, the national daily Sidwaya, showing the image of the president of the Transitional Legislative Assembly (ALT), Dr Ousmane Bougouma and the Prime Minister (PM), Me Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélem de Tambela.

The newspaper reports that the president of the ALT presented to the PM, yesterday Monday in Ouagadougou, the general report of the days of exchanges and consultation with the active forces of the regions on the political, institutional and administrative reforms of the Transition.

He also specifies that ‘according to the president of the ALT, Ousmane Bougouma, the populations are in favor of several politi
cal and institutional reforms including the adoption of a new Constitution’.

For its part, L’Express du Faso, a private daily published in Bobo-Dioulasso, reports that this report submitted to the PM was presented and adopted by the ALT deputies on September 22.

For their part, the private daily newspapers Today in Faso and Le Quotidien display in unison: ‘84% of Burkinabè (people consulted) want a new Constitution’.

The newspaper cited in the first place devotes its editorial to the presidential election in Liberia, highlighting: ‘Mister George in search of a double in the State House’.

According to the editorialist of Today in Faso, George Weah is running for a 2nd , adding that “generally in such circumstances, there is what is called the exit bonus, that is to say that the fact that he spent six years in power, credits him with a record that he will add to strengthen his campaign program.’

Meanwhile, Le Pays, another private daily, in its ”Inner Dialogue”, informs that twenty candidates are on the
starting line, including outgoing President Gerge Weah.

Under the title: “Presidential election in Liberia: The white star must not fade”, the newspaper mentions that after more than a month of a campaign punctuated by tensions, and sometimes incidents, the moment of truth has stunned.’

In the same vein, L’Observateur Paalga, the oldest of Burkinabè private dailies, through its ”Look at current events”, wonders: “Will Weah achieve the double?” “.

According to the newspaper, “for sure, it will not be a walk in the park for the outgoing president as evidenced by the virulence of the campaign punctuated by numerous physical incidents which resulted in loss of life and many injuries.”
