Climate Change Poses Threat to 68% of SMEs in Francophone Africa

Dakar – A survey titled “SME Competitiveness in Francophone Africa 2023: Building Resilience to Climate Change” indicates that 68% of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in sub-Saharan Africa view climate change as a significant threat.

According to Africa News Agency,, 59% of companies in the agricultural sector have invested in climate change mitigation measures, in contrast to 48% in the manufacturing industry and 23% in the services sector.
