Ethiopia Signs MoU to Provide Comprehensive Health Services to Ex-combatants


ADDIS ABABA — The National Rehabilitation Commission and the Ministry of Health have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to deliver comprehensive health services to former combatants, marking a significant step in their reintegration into society.



According to Ethiopian News Agency, health State Minister Dr. Ayele Teshome and National Rehabilitation Commissioner Temesgen Tilahun officiated the signing at a workshop where they also validated a training manual for the program. The initiative, which has been in discussion for the past year, focuses on the multifaceted health needs of ex-combatants, including physical, psychological, and mental health issues. Commissioner Tilahun emphasized the commission’s focus on health as a critical aspect of the rehabilitation process.
