KOSSI: The provincial coordination of citizen watch associations has donated a drone valued at 9,600,000 CFA francs and food supplies to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). The donation, supported by local residents, was presented under the chairmanship of Kossi’s High Commissioner, Noufo Dembel©.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative was the result of collective efforts by the residents of Kossi, with a voluntary contribution of 2,000 CFA francs requested per household in the commune of Nouna. Additional contributions included 200,000 CFA francs from local villages and 350,000 CFA francs from Nouna nationals residing in D©dougou, leading to a total of 10,594,630 CFA francs.
Adama Ciss©, president of the organizing committee, emphasized the community’s resilience in facilitating the delivery of the drone, reflecting ongoing support for the broader vision of President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©. Provincial coordinator Adama Dao highlighted the successful mobilization of the population around this initiative.
The High Commissioner, Noufo Dembel©, praised the community’s efforts and urged for continued unity in facing future challenges. Souleymane Tiono, president of the special delegation of Nouna, presented food supplies to the VDP, while Adama Dao handed over the drone to the high commissioner, who subsequently transferred it to the FDS.
