Diapaga: The populations of Diapaga in the province of Tapoa in eastern Burkina Faso were invited on Wednesday to be more patriotic, thanks to the traditional raising of the colors which takes place at the high commission of the said locality under the aegis of the high commissioner Réné Karambiri, noted the AIB on site.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this raising of the colours took place in the presence of provincial authorities, the National Armed Forces (FAN), the Internal Security Forces (FSI), the Provincial Forces and the Volunteers for the Defence of the Fatherland (VDP). Taking up arms, raising the colours, and the High Commissioner’s address to the population were the highlights of this solemn ceremony which once again sharpened the patriotic spirit of the people of Tapoa.
After the formalities of respect for all those who traveled to the high commission this Wednesday, November 4, 2024 to commune with the provincial authorities, Réné Karambiri invited the populations to more patriotism
and respect for the symbols of the State. “Your presence here today demonstrates the interest you have in your homeland and, above all, the pride of belonging to the country of upright men,” he said.
“To the FDS and the VDP, I do not doubt for a single moment the high-mindedness that has always driven you when it comes to issues relating to the security of people and property. Your courage, your bravery, added to your professionalism, mean that Tapoa always remains standing despite the multiple attempts at destabilization by the followers of violence. I urge you to continue in this direction until the final victory of good over evil.”
To the people of Diapaga, Réné Karambiri urged them to be more vigilant and to denounce any suspicious case that could disturb the peace of the populations. He invited them to engage alongside the FDS and VDP in this war that is imposed on us for the survival of the nation. Social cohesion, living together, accepting others despite differences, are the cements of a harmonious,
prosperous, dignified and sovereign society. “I therefore invite everyone to make these values ??a daily reflex,” he concluded.
An appointment has been made for the next raising of the colours on the first Tuesday of January 2025.
