Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostas Fragogiannis participates in the Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the South-East European Cooperation Process Summit/SEECP (Antalya, 17.6.2021)

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy Kostas Fragogiannis participated today in the Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the South-East European Cooperation Process Summit (SEECP), held in Antalya.

The South-East European Cooperation Process aims at further enhancing good neighborly relations and regional cooperation between participants from all over South-East Europe, with an emphasis on the economy, as well as their proper preparation for integration into the Euro-Atlantic institutions.

Mr. Fragogiannis and the other Ministers and Heads of State and Government exchanged views on the situation and current developments in South-East Europe as well as on the possibilities for deepening cooperation within the SEECP. In particular, the Deputy Minister stressed the importance for Greece of strengthening regional cooperation, through building a climate of trust and good neighbourly relations in South-East Europe, with a view to promoting economic development and stability in the region.

Mr. Fragogiannis also expressed Greece’s readiness for the upcoming assumption of the SEECP Chairmanship-in Office, for the period from 1.7.2021 to 30.6.2022, based on mutual benefit of the region and its citizens.
