Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragogiannis, met today, Thursday, February 23, 2023, with the Kosovar Deputy Foreign Minister Kreshnik Ahmeti, in the context of Greece’s active role in the economic development of the Western Balkans and the objective of strengthening economic relations with Pristina.
The two Ministers exchanged views and information on the progress in the implementation of the “Letter of Intent” signed on April 13, 2022, in Pristina, concerning the strengthening of bilateral economic cooperation.
Mr. Fragogiannis highlighted the significant potential for increasing Greek exports of food, medicines, and construction materials so as to meet the needs of the Kosovar market. Special reference was also made to the major issue of energy sufficiency and independence and in this regard, prospects for energy cooperation and business opportunities resulting from the development of energy corridors in the wider region were discussed.
