Invitation to Hearings on gender transformation at Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges

As part of its Constitutional mandate, the Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) will conduct investigative hearings into the state of gender transformation at Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges. The CGE has noted low levels of compliance with relevant labour legislation aimed at transformation, more especially, the Employment Equity Act (EEA), Basic Condition of Employment Act (BCEA), Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act (PEPUDA) and applicable common law developments.
