OUAGADOUGOU — A stolen motorcycle reported missing in Ouagadougou on December 30, 2023, was recovered in Bolgatanga, Ghana, and returned to its rightful owner, reported on March 31, 2024. The “Sirius” brand scooter, taken from its owner’s residence, was found in a Ghanaian garage as criminals attempted to alter its identifying features.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the successful recovery was made possible through effective collaboration between the Burkinabè gendarmerie and the Ghanaian border police. The operation not only resulted in the retrieval of the stolen property but also highlighted the robust cooperation between the neighboring nations’ security forces. The motorcycle’s owner expressed deep gratitude for the diligent efforts of the authorities involved, emphasizing the unexpected joy and relief at the recovery of their stolen asset and the professionalism of both the Burkinabè and Ghanaian security personnel.
