Morocco – Citic Dicastal Group, a global leader in aluminum casting and automotive parts production, has inaugurated its third facility in Morocco, named “DMC-Dika Morocco Castings.” This opening marks a significant milestone, aligning with the celebration of the Group’s five-year presence in Morocco, a decade of China’s “Belt and Road” initiative, and 65 years of Sino-Moroccan diplomatic relations.
According to Africa News Agency, the new plant, which represents the Group’s third industrial unit in the country following the first two inaugurated in 2019 and 2020, is designed for manufacturing aluminum wheels. These existing units, operating at full capacity, produce 6 million wheels annually and employ 1,400 people, reflecting a total investment of 350 MDH.
The latest facility, built on a 40,000m² site with a 20,000m² plant, involved an investment of around 180 million euros. It has an annual production capacity of 5 million parts, 90% of which are intended for export primarily to Europe and the United States. This expansion is expected to create 1,000 new direct jobs, further enhancing the Group’s industrial presence in Morocco.
