Cameroon –Caverton Helicopters, a Nigerian company specializing in air and sea logistics services for the oil and gas sector in sub-Saharan Africa, has announced the acquisition of a Bell 429 helicopter. This addition marks the first Bell 429 to be used in the oil and gas market in West and Central Africa.

According to Africa News Agency,” the contract for the purchase was signed with the American firm Bell Textron Inc. The helicopter will be deployed for operations on oil platforms in Cameroon. Caverton Helicopters, a subsidiary of Caverton Offshore Support Group, highlights that there are currently over 450 Bell 429s globally, accumulating more than 602,000 flight hours.
