Gourma: The populations of Gulmu renew their unwavering support for Captain Ibrahim Traoré

The populations of Gulmu came out to express their unwavering support for the president of the transition, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, on Saturday September 30, 2023 in Fada N’Gourma.

To express, once again, their attachment to the transition, the populations of Gulmu came out in large numbers following the call from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) such as BURKINA REMPARTS, Amitié Burkina-Russie and Coalition Yelema Honronya.

During the meeting, each of these civil society structures appreciated the power of Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

Thus, the regional coordinator of BURKINA REMPARTS de l’Est, Seydou Kouldiati indicated that through this meeting, they want to express their unwavering attachment to their ‘Captain IB’. According to him, in one year of governance, Captain Ibrahim Traoré changed the mentality of the Burkinabé, restored the sovereignty of the country.

According to him, he also decried the exploitation of Africa by imperialist countries at the Russian summit.

As acquired for the Eastern regio
n during a year of transitional rule, Mr. Kouldiati outlined, among other things, the opening of the medical sector at the University of Fada N’Gourma, the functioning of the brigade firefighters in Fada N’Gourma and the start of asphalting of the Kantchari-Fada N’Gourma axis.

Eastern region women’s representative, Georgette Thiombiano/Congo said: ‘We came out to encourage the captain to move forward. We want to accompany him until the end, because he is our son. Given what he is doing for Burkina Faso, we are obliged to support him.’

‘We want to challenge the detractors of Captain Traoré’s dynamic. Through this meeting, we want to express our support for the transitional president because what he has achieved in one year exceeds our expectations. Many areas of former insecurity have been liberated.

Many health centers closed due to terrorism have resumed service. Trust between men is growing more and more. With the captain, we see that many young people are committed to fighting for the homeland,’ suggest
ed the head of the Yelema Honronya coalition of the East, Mamane Traoré.
