OUAGADOUGOU – Acting on intelligence of an impending terrorist attack in the region of Loroum, the Burkinabè army successfully neutralized the threat by demolishing a terrorist base this Saturday in the expansive Mihity forest near Banh. According to the Burkina Information Agency (AIB), the operation thwarted the terrorists’ plans for large-scale attacks in Burkina Faso.
According to News Releases by Burkina Information Agency, The intelligence services’ research led to the discovery of a terrorist base in the northern sector of the country, specifically in the Mihity forest. Several individuals on motorcycles had assembled at this base with the intent to execute a significant attack.
Promptly responding to the situation, aerial vectors were deployed to bombard the terrorists gathered at the base. The air forces also located another group attempting to conceal themselves deeper within the forest. Following a series of strikes, the individuals were eliminated.
Operations are ongoing on various fronts to maintain peace and security in the region.
