Burkinabè Army Destroys Militant Supply Convoy Near Malian Border

OUAGADOUGOU – The Burkinabè army successfully targeted a convoy of pick-up trucks loaded with ammunition and fuel in Nassoumbou, close to the Mali border, on Sunday.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the operation was initiated after Malian air scouts spotted the vehicles heading towards Burkina Faso and alerted their counterparts. The Burkinabè military tracked the trucks to a wooded area north of Nassoumbou where the convoy was parked. A coordinated drone strike then effectively destroyed the vehicles and their contents, disrupting what was believed to be a resupply mission for militant groups operating in the area.
