Burkinabè Army Deploys Advanced Missiles to Obliterate Terrorist Base in Center-North Region

OUAGADOUGOU – The Burkinabè military conducted a significant operation utilizing newly acquired missiles against a terrorist stronghold on Friday, demonstrating enhanced capabilities in their ongoing efforts to combat terrorism within the country’s borders. The operation targeted a densely forested area in the Center-North region, believed to be a major terrorist base, particularly in Kalamba.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Burkinabè armed forces had been surveilling the site for several days, cautious about engaging due to the dense vegetation which could potentially render their conventional missiles ineffective. The situation called for the deployment of newly acquired missiles, described by sources as possessing “terrifying” power, a move deemed necessary to ensure the destruction of the terrorist enclave.

The strike was executed on Friday, March 29, 2024, at precisely 11:18 a.m., catching the terrorists by surprise. The impact of the missiles resulted in a vast explosion, effectively annihilating the targeted site. To ascertain the success of the operation, a Special Forces commando unit was subsequently deployed to the scene, confirming the complete destruction of the terrorist base.

The successful use of these new missile types not only signifies a milestone in the Burkinabè army’s capabilities but also sends a stern message to terrorist groups regarding the military’s enhanced ability to locate and destroy their hideouts, regardless of the terrain. The army has expressed its determination to continue its offensive against terrorist factions, aiming to eradicate their presence from the nation.
