Burkina: SOROUBAT BF dismissed officials after the poorly executed section between Sakoinssé-Koudougou

The construction company SOROUBAT BF, singled out for the poor execution of the Sakoinssé-Koudougou section, announced that it had changed its management and dismissed officials before resuming work at its expense.

“Serious measures have been taken at the highest level of the group’s management: the general management of SOROUBAT BF has already been changed, sanctions and dismissals of those primarily responsible for these unfortunate incidents which undermine the credibility of the company”, have been caught, said SOROUBAT Director General Moez Bahri.

Mr. Bahri was speaking on Monday March 20, 2023 after an interview with the Minister of Infrastructure and Opening up (MID) Adama Luc Sorgho, according to the Department of Communication of the said department.

The CEO added that “there have been other restructurings within SOROUBAT BF which are part of the aim of preserving and strengthening the quality of work, the brand image as well as the confidence of the actors in the field. “.

On March 10, 2023, the Burkinabè government, on the basis of a report, ordered SOROUBAT BF to resume the Sakoinssé-Koudougou road (42km), badly degraded less than two years after the end of the works.

“SOROUBAT being a corporate citizen, responsible and concerned about the trust of its partners, is resolutely part of a road repair dynamic. […] In this spirit, the new management of SOROUBAT BF has taken measures in advance with a view to providing road users with a structure that meets the technical standards in this area,” said Moez Bahri.

Minister Adama Luc Sorgho welcomed “this wise decision” and urged the company to be more professional and rigorous in resuming work and for the other projects for which they are responsible, indicates its Communication Department.

“He warned the company that the MID will follow the construction step by step until the end and that no bad implementation, no questionable material will be tolerated”, she adds.
