Burkina Prime Minister Emphasizes Role of Agriculture in National Development

OUAGADOUGOU – Prime Minister Apollinaire Kyelem de Tambèla stated on Friday that President Ibrahim Traoré’s vision centers on agricultural development as the basis for defending and building the nation. This was reported by the Burkina Information Agency.

According to News Releases by Burkina Information Agency, The Prime Minister spoke following a visit to the developed plains of Bagrépôle in the Centre-East region of Burkina Faso. “We cannot ask someone who doesn’t have enough to eat to work for the development of their country or to defend their country against terrorism. The first thing is to eat well,” said Prime Minister Apollinaire Kyelem de Tambèla. He also acknowledged the work of researchers who have developed crop varieties adapted to Burkina Faso’s climatic conditions.
