Burkina Faso Suspends Seven Media Outlets for Biased Army Coverage
OUAGADOUGOU—The Communication Superior Council (CSC) of Burkina Faso has suspended access to seven international media outlets indefinitely. The affected organizations include TV5 Monde, Deutsche Welle, Ouest-France, Le Monde.fr, ApaNews, The Guardian, and AgenceEcofin.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the suspension is due to the publication of biased information regarding the Burkinabè army. Additionally, TV5 Monde’s television broadcasts will be halted for two weeks within the country.
